Spring is here, the festival is near (er)!
Kia ora and welcome to my first kōrero as we work towards the 2017 Festival. Time is rushing by.
It's September, Spring, a season of change, as new life starts to appear everywhere. My tulips are up already at home and my living room is filled with daffodils gifted from friends. And I have started planting my vegetables.
Work is also in a stage of change as I am now finalising the last details of the programme for the 2017 Festival. At the Festival office everyone is flat-out preparing to deliver the programme and creating the 2017 brochure. At the same time, as I try to fill those last minute gaps where shows have fallen over, or do the final deals, contracts are being written, sightlines checked, technical equipment sourced, photographs gathered and copy being written. It is always an exciting but nerve-wracking time leading up to the release of the Festival programme. I can’t wait until it is all ready to share with you. You can expect to see the Festival brochure in early November, so make sure you are signed up to our mailing list to ensure you receive your copy in the post. Sign up Here
