JOB: Technical Manager
The Auckland Arts Festival is Auckland's premier festival of New Zealand and international arts. Presented annually in March, the globally recognised event celebrates people and culture, and showcases the cultural diversity and vibrant energy of New Zealand's largest city.
The Trust is seeking an experienced Technical Manager for the 2017 Auckland Arts Festival (8-26 March).
Reporting to the Chief Executive, the successful applicant will have a proven track record in technical management at a senior level, preferably in a multi-arts or festival environment. The role includes planning and managing the staging, sound, lighting and freight of multiple productions and events across Auckland.
The Technical Manager will have in-depth experience working across a wide range of venues, preparing & managing production budgets and leading successful teams. The role also works with the Chief Executive and Business & Finance Director to manage the Festival’s Health and Safety Framework.
Term
This is a fixed-term position until late April 2017.
